a walk in the park

I had to pick-up a book I reserved at the library today and since it’s close to my favorite park I thought I would park far and hoof it. I’m glad I did since I saw some interesting things:

• One of those new (not so) Mini Cooper Clubman. I may be looking at a smaller car like this since I finally broke the $40 mark on a fill-up.
• A group playing kickball. Can’t wait ’til my league kicks off.
• A couple homeless gentleman sleeping on park benches with one eye open and one hand on their possessions (e.g. a bike, a large trash bag of clothes).
• An eclectic group of people (a crusty Harley dude, an alterna-grrrl, a yuppie, and more) doing a group dog walking in the park. Lesson learned: dogs bring people together.
• Four women playing a mean game of tennis. The one in the all pink jump suit looked like she had some game.

I must get to the park more often, the people watching is most excellent.
