five things

I’ve enjoyed Maggie Mason’s recent series of posts on the 100 things she wants to do before she goes (see here, here, here, and here). I had made a list like this once, but it is long lost and forgotten. Past failures aside I was still inspired to formulate a new list of things to do, but I wanted to make it more time sensitive. So here is my list of five things I want to do this summer?

  1. Take my son to his first movie. I think he is almost ready to sit through a whole movie. Maybe this one would be a good start.
  2. Go to a Nats game. The Washington Nationals are opening up a shiny new park this season. I can already taste the overpriced hot dogs and flat beer.
  3. Take a class. My local community college offers a course on CSS, maybe I can learn enough to be dangerous.
  4. Do a charity walk. I try and do one a year because exercise for a good cause is a win-win.
  5. Go on a photo taking day trip. There are loads of funky abandoments and ruins around my town. I would love to take a day to snap some pics before they are all buried under a new shopping center or housing development.

What’s on your list?
